After several small lots last year, Umalila now joins our mainstay range, delivering a bright, fruit-forward profile well suited to filter brewing. Sourced from Tanzania’s Southern Highlands, this washed lot offers a cup with vivid acidity, and a soft, silky mouthfeel.
The Southern Highlands really shines through here—bright and fruity, it brews up clean in my pour-over without any bitterness. I've already gone through a bag and a half, and it's become my go-to morning cup.
One bag in and I'm already into the Southern Highlands profile — it's so clean and juicy through my pour-over that I've stopped reaching for anything else in the morning. The fruit-forward brightness really carries into the cup without any harshness.
Brewed this on a V60 and the bright, fruit-forward notes really popped—exactly the kind of cup I want for a morning filter. It’s my first time trying something from Tanzania’s Southern Highlands, and the clarity is impressive. Will be grabbing another bag once this runs out.
