The rim is perfectly balanced in my hand, and the way the light shifts across the surface reminds me of the sea. I use it for my morning coffee and it feels like a little ritual every time, such a beautiful piece to hold.
The rim is surprisingly thin and precise for a handmade piece, which makes sipping from it feel really delicate and lovely. It’s become my go-to mug for slow morning coffee, and the weight in my hand is just right.
The glaze has that lovely handmade unevenness you'd expect from a Japanese-inspired piece, and it sits perfectly in my hand. You can tell the potter put real thought into the form, not just the finish.
